- Examining the key factors impacting the adoption of HDTV in the US, including purchase and ownership, consumer awareness, knowledge, interest, and willingness to pay for HDTVs and HD programming
- Understanding the progress that HDTV has made related to consumer perceptions in the past year
- Understanding the characteristics of consumers who currently have HDTV sets, as well as those who are most interested and willing to pay for HDTV
- Help companies to better understand the related implications for the multi-channel video and television industries
